Johnny Gaudreau, a star forward for the Columbus Blue Jackets, and his brother, Matthew, tragically died Thursday night in a biking accident in Oldmans Township, New Jersey, near their hometown in Salem County. Higgins, 43, from Woodstown, New Jersey, has been charged with two counts of death by auto and is currently being held at the Salem County Correctional Facility. The accident occurred when Higgins, driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee, attempted to pass a slower-moving sedan and SUV on the road. After entering the southbound lanes, Higgins tried to re-enter the northbound lanes but struck the two brothers from behind, resulting in fatal injuries.
