In an unprecedented achievement for animated films, Pixar’s *Inside Out 2* has reached a historic milestone, becoming the first animated feature to surpass $1 billion in international box office revenue. This remarkable feat positions *Inside Out 2* among the elite group of films that have grossed over $1 billion globally, with only 11 animated films, including eight from Disney/Pixar, having achieved this status. It is the only animated film to hit this international box office milestone.

Record-Breaking Success of *Inside Out 2*

*Inside Out 2*, directed by Kelsey Mann, has not only set a new record for Disney but also emerged as the highest-grossing animated film of all time. The film has amassed an impressive global total of $1.649 billion, with $1.002 billion from international markets and $646.3 million domestically. *Inside Out 2* has set several records, including the fastest animated film to reach $1 billion globally (in just 19 days), the highest global animated opening of all time ($292 million), and the second-largest animated opening domestically ($154 million).

The film’s remarkable performance is reflected in its strong showings in various international markets, including Mexico ($122 million), Brazil ($80 million), the U.K. ($72.7 million), France ($62.6 million), and Korea ($60.8 million). These numbers highlight the film's widespread appeal and success across different regions.

*Coraline* Celebrates 15th Anniversary with Strong Box Office Performance

Meanwhile, *Coraline*, the beloved stop-motion animated film from LAIKA, is marking its 15th anniversary with a highly successful re-release. Directed by Henry Selick, the film has been re-released in a stunning remaster and continues to attract audiences. Over the weekend, *Coraline* earned $3.2 million globally on Saturday, a 54% increase from the previous day, and is projected to earn $2.4 million on Sunday. This brings its total earnings to $37.7 million over 11 days.

In the U.S., *Coraline* accumulated $2.1 million on Saturday, with an expected $1.55 million on Sunday, leading to a domestic weekend total of $5 million. Including Canada, the total domestic weekend forecast stands at $5.71 million. Internationally, the film earned $1.1 million on Saturday and is expected to make $843,000 on Sunday, resulting in a weekend total of $2.68 million. In the U.K., *Coraline* has surpassed *E.T.* on the all-time re-releases list, now only trailing behind the previous year's *Titanic* re-release. Additionally, *Coraline* has out-earned its original release gross in Mexico and is close to surpassing its 2009 total admissions.

With additional overseas releases, including an upcoming premiere in France, LAIKA’s *Coraline* continues to captivate audiences and demonstrate its enduring popularity.
