It's Monday again, and the week has officially kicked off—unless, of course, you consider Sunday the start of the week, in which case, you might be in the minority. I’m currently on the road for a solo trip, but I’m still here to guide you through today’s Wordle and Mini Crossword. So, buckle up, and let’s dive in!
The NYT Mini is a smaller, quicker, and more digestible version of the larger NYT Crossword. Unlike its bigger counterpart, the Mini is free-to-play without requiring a subscription to The New York Times. You can play it on the web or through the app, though you’ll need the app if you want to explore the archive.
Pro Tip:
When tackling a crossword puzzle, a good strategy is to fill in as many ACROSS clues as possible first, which often makes solving the DOWN clues easier—or vice versa, depending on which you find trickier.
Some of today’s clues might seem straightforward, while others could leave you scratching your head. Below are the answers. Spoilers ahead! If you prefer to solve it yourself, scroll down for the image of today’s completed puzzle.

This puzzle was a bit of a challenge for me, likely because I’m traveling and a bit off my game. The “buzz” clue was particularly clever—if you take off the last letter, BEER becomes BEE, both of which relate to buzzing. It was a fairly straightforward puzzle overall, but words like COUPE took me a moment to figure out. How did you do? Let me know on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook.
If you’re also into Wordle, I write guides for that too! You can find those, along with my TV guides, reviews, and much more, over on my blog. Thanks for reading!
